Special Events

Special events are an important and fun way to help Ability Beyond continue to discover, build and celebrate the ability in all people. Everyone — from individuals and family members to corporations and community organizations — who volunteers, attends or sponsors our fundraising initiatives is helping us meet critical financial goals. We invite you to join us and celebrate with our friends and donors to raise the needed funds that will help the people we serve go beyond the expected!

Gala & Beyond

Our annual Gala is Ability Beyond’s largest fundraiser of the year and generates funding for many initiatives and enhancements that support the people we serve. The 2024 Gala: A Night of Reflections this spring brought 350 supporters together for a fun evening honoring an outstanding pillar of the community with the Robert S. Young Humanitarian Award and featured an unforgettable musical performance by our day program participants. Save the date for our next Gala on April 26, 2025!

Golf, Tennis & Pickleball Tournament

This past October, Ability Beyond hosted its Golf, Tennis and Pickleball Tournament – uniting the community for a fun-filled day of competitive play, generosity, and networking. One day - two states - three sports! Supporters united in both Danbury and Purchase to raise funds for our cause. Mark your calendars for October 6, 2025 for our next tournament at Ridgewood Country Club and Brae Burn Country Club!

Autumn Breakfast

More than 375 supporters gathered in November for our Autumn Mental Health Breakfast honoring three heroes whose leadership, philanthropy, and advocacy has had such a profound impact on those suffering from mental health challenges.  Click below to learn more about our 2024 honorees
