Disabled Workforce Expands Thanks Job Boom
As employers continue their frenzied hiring and inflation stays high, people with disabilities are increasingly at work across the country. NBC News recently featured Ability Beyond as they dug into the increased employment among those with disabilities.
Carrie O’Connell, director of Ability Beyond’s programs and services, said businesses are eagerly asking programs like theirs for help.
“The tides have turned,” O’Connell said. “Businesses are coming to us, knowing that it is a good group of people who can work and should work, and want us to find job opportunities for them.”
