Ability Beyond Earns Coveted Three-Year CARF Accreditation
Ability Beyond, a nonprofit headquartered in Bethel, CT and Chappaqua, NY that provides a wide range of services for more than 3,000 people with disabilities each year, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a Three-Year-Term of Accreditation from CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) International.
This decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows Ability Beyond’s substantial conformance to CARF International standards. To receive the Three-Year Accreditation, Ability Beyond has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality.
“Earning CARF’s high level of accreditation is considered the gold standard for the work that we do”, said Jane Davis, President and CEO of Ability Beyond. “We are proud to have been continuously accredited by CARF since the 1970’s, which truly shows our dedication and commitment to improving the lives of the people we serve.
In an exit interview with Ability Beyond staff, one CARF surveyor said, “Our team spent most of their time writing strengths. We found that your response to the pandemic was admirable. The staff are exceptional and very competent. You are a community resource, you open your doors to help others. You have cutting edge technologies and you have quality physical structures among many things. You are an inclusive organization and continue to look for ways to include and support staff culturally”.
