Having a job and earning a paycheck is essential to independence and self-worth. That’s why at Ability Beyond, we’re proud to help more than 1,750 individuals each year with job training and placement with employers in the region.

Our employment programs have over a 50-year track record of success in job training and placement and has helped thousands of people to gain meaningful employment in their communities. And hundreds of businesses have prospered by hiring these highly trained and dedicated employees.

But it’s the hundreds of employers who partner with Ability Beyond in Connecticut and New York who help make the program so successful. We’ve heard from so many employers in the community that the benefits of hiring people with disabilities go far beyond the value they bring to the job. It also offers other benefits including a more inclusive and accepting environments for all employees.

In the past, Ability Beyond had to actively recruit employers in the area for our programs. But word has gotten out, and the region’s businesses are seeing the value that the individuals we serve can provide. Companies are now actively reaching out to us every month looking for qualified employees.
