Kevin Cooper, our Career Development Program Manager, will discuss common fears and misconceptions many Beneficiaries face about losing their benefits if they try to work during a panel discussion on October 15 at 6 p.m. as we celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month. He will provide a brief and easy-to-follow overview of Social Security Income and Social Security Disability Income benefits and work incentives that empower people to pursue their employment goals without fear of being unfairly penalized and losing their benefits or health insurance.

Cooper, a Certified Work Incentives Practitioner (CWIP) through Cornell University, will also facilitate a discussion among our panelists of individuals with disabilities and their relatives who will share their own employment experiences and what they’ve learned through the journey.
