Ability Beyond’s Partnership with Habitat for Humanity Featured
DANBURY – Two local nonprofit organizations with a “shared goal of helping to ensure everyone has a safe place to call home” are joining forces for the first time to take their community services to a new level.
Danbury-based Housatonic Habitat for Humanity is providing volunteers two days a week to completed renovations and upgrades at one of the group homes operated in the city by Ability Beyond.
“Ability Beyond serves hundreds of people in more than 100 homes in Connecticut and New York, many that we’ve owned for decades,” said Jane Davis, president and chief executive officer at Ability Beyond. “Keeping up with the repairs and maintenance of these homes is an ongoing and costly challenge, but one that our residents deserve.
