And hundreds of businesses have prospered by hiring these highly trained and dedicated employees.

Our Employment Programs

Through our Employment Programs, we help the individuals we serve by:

  • Training them for fulfilling work opportunities
  • Providing job placement assistance
  • Helping them to maintain their job for the long term

Our dedicated and experienced staff will design individualized strategies to help meet personal employment goals. We provide group supported employment, career development services, work readiness/youth employment services, supported employment, customized employment, assessment services and job shadowing throughout Connecticut and New York.

Ability Beyond also assists individuals in reaching self-sufficiency through full-time work and going off of entitlements if that is their goal. As part of the Social Security Administration’s “Ticket to Work” Employment Network, we help people with disabilities achieve their individual employment goals. Click here for resources from DORS and AccesVR!

Employment Programs FAQs

+-
Where do you get jobs for people? Do you have a job bank?
Although Ability Beyond has many great ongoing relationships with employers, we are not a ‘job bank’. We work with each individual to pursue a job that is the right fit for them based on their goals and interests. We want to place people into the right position for them, not just any position that is available.
+-
Who helps me to find my job? What are their skills?
At Ability Beyond, our Employment Specialists are responsible for assisting individuals in their search for a new job or career. We take great pride in the professionalism and commitment of these individuals- at a minimum these are Bachelor Degree level staff and many have their Master’s. More importantly, many of them are Certified Employment Support Professionals and hold National Certificates in Employment Services.
