Guidelines for Outside Family Visits:
To allow families to see their loved ones in our care while keeping everyone safe, Ability Beyond will begin limited family visits by appointment starting May 30th. Staff members have been instructed to ensure all of the below requirements are in place during the visit. We greatly appreciate your support in helping us keep the vulnerable people we serve healthy!
  • Visits are by appointment only. Please contact your Program Manager to make appointment.
  • Visits are limited to one hour to allow time for staff to support multiple visits and limit exposure risk.
  • Visits are outdoors only. We will find a place to accommodate an outside visit if necessary. And because they are outside, please remember visits will be weather-dependent.
  • Visits are limited to two family members.
  • Please do NOT visit if you have had ANY symptoms of ANY illness in the last 10 days, or if you have been tested COVID +!
  • If your family member/person served is unable to adhere to social distancing guidelines, let’s wait on visiting…
  • Please use the bathroom before you come for the visit. We cannot allow you inside the residence.
  • Masks must be on. We would appreciate it if family members could supply their own, but if not available we will provide them.
  • We would appreciate it if you would bring your own lawn chairs — this keeps things safe for everyone.
  • Please refrain from eating, drinking or bringing food to the visit (it will mean masks are off).
  • Please remember no hugging, kissing, car rides or exchanging items! If you must bring something to the house, please give it to a staff member first and they will relay it. Again, we are just trying to maintain distance and exchanging items makes that hard to do.
Thank you in advance for helping us support safe visits and ensuring the health of your loved one! If you have any questions or questions please let your program manager know or contact CoronaQuestions@AbilityBeyond.org.
