Visitors & Community Outings on “Pause” Following Health Advisory
As you may know, a public health advisory was issued for the City Of Danbury due to a spike in travel-related COVID cases. The advisory recommends that people in the Greater Danbury area stay home if they are over 60 years old or have a chronic condition that might put them at risk. Our Danbury Teams were informed right away, and we want to be sure that family members are informed as well, to keep you and the people we serve who are in risk categories safe.
Out of an abundance of caution, we are taking the following temporary measures and expanding the alert for the Ability Beyond community with the following:
- We are pausing community outings and family visits for the Greater Danbury Towns including Danbury, Ridgefield, Redding, Bethel, Brookfield, New Fairfield, Newtown and New Milford.
- Please note this includes the CT Day Program; the limited program WILL be open but will refrain from community outings.
- We are SUSPENDING family visits for these towns until FRIDAY Aug. 28th. We expect to issue an updated decision this Friday regarding weekend visits.
