March 28, 2016
Ability Beyond will be holding their Night of 10,000 Cranes Gala on Saturday April 30, 2016 at the Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury, Connecticut. The annual gala is Ability Beyond’s largest fundraising event, attracting close to 600 guests each year. The money raised will allow Ability Beyond to continue to provide critical supports to over 3,000 people with disabilities in the community.
The evening will feature both silent and live auctions, raffles, dinner and awards and dancing. The co-chairs of this year’s event are Harvey and Suzanne Kramer. The Kramer’s have a long history of supporting Ability Beyond and Harvey has been a member of the Board of Trustees for over 20 years.
The Beylouni Family, long-time supporters of the Ability Beyond will receive the Robert S. Young Humanitarian award. This award is given by the Young Family in memory of Robert S. Young, a former volunteer leader and President of Ability Beyond. David and Darren Beylouni have been chosen as the recipients for their dedication to philanthropy in Fairfield County and their shared commitment to the mission of Ability Beyond. As president and vice president of Colonial Automobile Group, David and Darren have raised over $45,000 for Ability through Subaru’s Share the Love Event. This event which runs from November to January, allows Subaru dealerships nationwide to support a nonprofit organization of their choice.
“We selected Ability Beyond as our local charity because of the difference they make in the community,” said David Beylouni, President of Colonial Automobile Group. “This organization has a contagious passion for making life better for people…and you just want to help in any way you can.” Darren Beylouni, Vice President of Danbury Automobile Group, has been a member of the Board of Trustees of Ability Beyond for the past five years playing an active role in fundraising for the organization by bringing key donors and facilitating lasting partnerships.
The local business community is showing its support through sponsorship of the event. Diamond Sponsors, the highest level available, include: Colonial Automobile Group, Maplewood Senior Living, and PepsiCo.
